I'm not even sure where a proper place to start with this film would be so I'll just do my best and explain as well as I can. Adam Steigert contacted me in regards of reviewing his latest outing called A GRIM BECOMING. From reading the synopsis and knowing who was involved I jumped on the opportunity to watch this. Over the last several years Melantha Blackthorne has been one of my favorite actresses and as of late Bill Oberst Jr. has without a doubt become my favorite actor. His versatile style is completely mind boggling and his dry sense of humor shines well within this little gem. Accompany him with Melantha and you definitely have some serious movie making history in the works.I must also say that I'd love to see a spin off tale of their characters, they were phenomenal and very tongue in cheek creepy.. Let me just say I will never look at peanut butter in the same way again and just leave it at that!

As stated in the synopsis this film is about a guy who basically inherits the position of Death and flat out just doesn't want it. The table is set for one hell of a glorious ride into the absurd and hilarious. There's just so much to discuss going on in the film but to do so would just give things away. Let me just make notice that the acting of the aforementioned along with the additions of Devanny Pinn and Jessica Cameron as life, add that special gleam to an already superb acting core. To top it all off there's just the right amount of blood and scares to round out the core of this film. There isn't really anything that I can say bad about A Grim Becoming. The story is solid and the direction is flawless at the hands of Adam Steigert.  A Grim Becoming holds well next to Shaun of the Dead and So, You Downloaded a Demon. Very refreshing movie with tons of great actresses and actors. Expect this to slide right on the shelves along with those films as well as the Evil Deads'. A great film and I highly recommend this!
