DS Ullery

 

As a double shot of horror from author D.S.Ullery: we have two nasty little buggers for our reading pleasure. In the flash fiction piece "A Strange Taste in Ornamentation", a murderous burglar gets more than he bargained for when he robs the wrong house.Now I have to stop right there and thank author DS Ullery for him just adding to the fear that I've already had for many years pertaining to garden gnomes. It's nice to know i'm not the only one who things those little punks are evil. Everytime i drive by one i wanna go all Ted bundy on em and pull over and steal them. The victim in this little feast is in for one hell of a night.

 

Now onto the second take in this quick little adventure, called "The First Rule of Showmanship". A story of betrayal sends a professional clown down the path into madness, with horrifying consequences. He's on his last leg. There will not be any more performances for this cat and when he finds out that his wife is cheating on him he devises a cryptic , disturbing story that had me on my seat at each turning of the page. the visual decriptions penned by Ullery make this such a great scary tale. His use of thematic situations reach out and grab you by the throat only to let go as the tale ends.

 

DS Ullery is without a doubt one of the fastest rising authors I've had the pleasure of recently meeting and look forward to any and all things he releases. In just a small amount of time he's managed to sneak into the back of my mind and pick away like a termite leaving a little of him inside for me to chew on when the lights go out.
