I've been receiving screener copies of movies since 2003 and sometimes, just sometimes one sneaks through and you're like" holy shit!, this Is the one!!!" Such is the case with CIRCUS OF THE DEAD. Upon watching this film I felt the same way I did watching Within the Woods, the predecessor for the famed EVIL DEAD franchise. I hold CIRCUS OF THE DEAD in the same company as the aforementioned. Please let me try and explain why this film WILL become a cult favorite.

 

Family man Don’s, played marvelously by Parrish Randall, visit to an old, run down Big Top circus and chance encounter with a nihilistic group of clowns leaves him fighting for his life and the lives of those he loves. As Don becomes drawn deeper into lead clown Papa Corn’s (Bill Oberst Jr.) games, he comes closer to the edge of reason and sanity. Armed with guns, knives and a ’68 Camaro, the clowns lead Don on an all night crime spree through oil soaked West Texas. Papa Corn’s wild ride brings blood, gore and mayhem to all he encounters.

 

The depravity herein is miond boggling and sets forth the emotion the viewer feels whilst viewing this fuck fest. Not since Victor Silvas CLOWNHOUSE have I held my opinion that clowns are evil, depraived and just downright creepy. I've always felt that anyone hiding behind make-up has something sinister to hide and  Billy Pon has confirmed that notion. The sheer nonchalantness of the chaose set forth by the group of characters sends you on a whirwind of hellish thematic scenarios. Scenarios that will stick to your brain like drinking a bad gallon of milk. You WILL NOT be able to just set this aside after you watch it. It will follow you along throughout your every day activities.Haunting you, causing a bad taste in your mouth. CIRCUS OF THE DEAD is without a doubt my favorite clown movie to date.

 

I literally can't think of one single thing I didn't like about this film . The acting led by the nasty ass sadistic nature of Bill Oberst Jr to the perfected acting of a family man from Parrish Randall set this bad bitch up to be one of the coolest, most sadistic films I've personally seen in 10 years. CIRCUS OF THE DEAD delivers every single aspect needed to make it a true horror film and any true self proclaimed horror fanatic should take heed of this film. If one does not, than I seriouslly dont see how one can call themselves a horror fan. CIRCUS OF THE DEAD is the tits!!!!! milk and all!! One most note just how good the cast was in this.From Oberst Jr. masturbating outside windows to Randall turning the tables and the outight superb acting of Randalls protrayed wife thanks to a flawless outing from Chanel Ryan, the acting was some of the best outings I've seen in a film in so many years. Have you noticed yet that I have not once yet stated this as an independent film. Well even though it is, I for one would never classify it as so. I've had passes to premier mainstream releases throughout the years and have been sent so many screeners and I cannot even begin to tell you how much this film has knocked the teeth out of most I've seen in the theaters.The acting from Randall, Oberst Jr. and Ryan set the tone for such an excellent film. I could go on and on and just ramble the fuck on about how much I loved this film and believe it will become one to watch for the next 20 years but I'd have to keep telling you about the film and I refuse to do so. You'll have to wait!! Just take note that  CIRCUS OF THE DEAD  is a fucking cult classic and a masterpiece. "WE WANT THE CLOWNS!!!!!!"

 

You better be ready for this film when it's released. Because if you dont have your game face on then I'd suggest skipping it. It's that hardcore folks..One of the better baddies to date!!
