CTHULU RISES

R. ARCHER

R. Archer has taken a popular time killing activity and added in a Lovecraftian twist to it. Let me explain a tad, shall I? Cthulhu Rises is a nifty little tale surrounding a group of role playing gamers, that accidentally invoke the allmighty Cthulhu through playing the role playing game Cthulhu Rises. None of them expected what the night would bring when they set down with their Cheez-Its and Mountain Dew.

The end results of the game are what none of them expected, including the game master. Fusing the ever so popular Dungeouns and Dragons role playing game with horror R. archer succeeds and telling a nifty little tale, one that reminded me a lot of the short roll playing game skit that can be found on the Onion Movie. This sort of directional story has been done before but i cant recall any being based of the master Lovecraft. He beautifully takes two very common ly lnown things in the horror industry and makes them love each other. Such as his previous work, SATANS BITCH this one is fairly short as well but is very well written and keeps you entertained all the way through. Even the ending was excellently done. The short story serves as the inspiration for the author's up coming release of Roll the Dice, a novella.
