As we settle in and pick out a film, tonights viewing pleasure consists of a nice little euphoric mind.fuck of pleasure. I had received an email from producer Frank Garfi asking if I'd be interested in viewing the film. Having seen their previous endeavor, Strange Things Happen at Sundown I jumped at the chance. STHaS waz one of those under the radar type films whereas you didnt know much going into it and was greatly rewarded. But let's skip the rambling and discuss this awesome film.

 

Hellfire is a little tale revolving around a group of females who kidnap someone they believe can lead them to a big score. They quickly discover that not only have they kidnapped someone who probably can't help them financially but they may have very well kidnapped the anti-Christ. As the night goes on they experience a night they never dreamt of.

All facets of this film in their flawless form should,IMO , be used as a platform to all , as to what 100% dedication and execution from all involved in a film should look like. It's evident that all involved in Hellfire put every bit of effort into the making of this film. From the get go they established their presence on this film, as I believed every character within and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of Hellfire.

 

I will say, however that the only complaint about this film was the amount of profanity used by the " queen bitch" early on. I got her character. I didnt need to be in a bar to get what she was about. Her acting was solid enough that that should have sold her role. Now that being said the aforementioned complaint is easily forgotten and overlooked as the barrage of blood, hot chicks, the anti Christ and the chaos ensues. Thanks to the magnificent outings from the lovely actresses and the biblical performance of J Scott Green as the anti Christ Hellfire in this sweet ass movie. Greens performance was completely terrifying. I was enthralled by every outing he gives on Hellfire. I see nothing but great things ahead from him. Plus the bonus of the appearance of Josh Nelson was very cool. That being said I loved all of the actors and actresses in this film.

 

The cinematography laid out herein with its darker hues and surroundings set up the cryptic,acid intensity that makes Hellfire such a brilliant film. The huge clusterfuck that these lovely ladies have gotten themselves into plays out like a live action comic book.

 

So from the barrage of chops and blood to the "around every corner antics", thanks to a rock solid plot, and perfect direction by Marc Fratto make Hellfire one of the best films I've ever seen. This is a must see for any true self proclaimed horror fan.
