LUCKY

dir. Jakob Bilinski

starring Louisa Torres

So I'm on the interwebs one day and I received an email on the Facebook from producer P.J.  Starks asking if I would be interested in helping out a fellow indie film maker get some coverage over their little short entitled LUCKY. Agreeing to do so i set down to watch it and just in a matter of minutes i was taken back and caught off guard.

LUCKY tells the tale of a young woman in a library doing research on curses as shes approached by a man who helps himself to a seat across from her and begins to start chatting it up with her. He tells her that he's the serial killer they call the downtown demon they're talking about on the news and he has all intentions on killing her. All this would seem as if it was more then likely going to happen until the macabre takes over setting up the twist on a magnificently well filmed film.
Helmed with flawlessly beautiful cinematography at the hands of Jakob Bilinski LUCKY is one top notch piece of cinema. Backed by the stellar performance by the beautiful Louisa Torres this short is by far one of the best I've seen in years.

LUCKY  has all the elements to make a great exciting outing on a weekend night with the buddies. It has above par ( highly believable) special effects and perfect utilizaqtion of soundscapes. All in all LUCKY  wins folks. This is how an independent film should be done..pay attention.
