Most of us know Melantha Blackthorne as Countess Bathoria the beautiful Vamp goddess who hits up the Vampires Ball and, well, just looks mighty fine all gothed up. She’s been in several slick little flicks over the past few years and has always radiated her talent…So It was to my delight when I caught wind that she was trying her hand at the directors duties. Her debut effort with action director Jason Cavalier, SINNERS AND SAINTS is definitely one ya really should check out. Father Carmichael Drake (Jason Cavalier) is tormented by his otherworldly dreams. Dreams that tell him that he has been chose to fight the legions of the dead, so he makes a call to a “battle convent” and enlists the help of Sister Jordan Merrick (Liz Faure). His mission is to locate a missing girl named, Mary Jane (Melantha Blackthorne). But Father drake and his sexy, scantily clad sidekick, Sister Jordan Merrick urn into more than they bargain for when they are led into one crazy ass world of Neo Christian beliefs.

Entering, what seems to be hell, they encounter a demon in the form of a goddess, known as Necrotia, who looks a lot like Mary Jane. Seems that she is on a mission to create a mega conglomerate of hell, and Father Drake may be the key!! From one crazy testicular throat launching giving a completely new mental picture of “giving head”, to Sister Merrick whipping ass topless, for quite some time I may add. It was quite humorous and leans toward the aspects of Black Comedy. SINNERS AND SAINTS entertains to the fullest.

Blackthorne and Faure hooking up again show that there may be some good chemistry between them. As previously stated jabs have been taken at Christianity in the way of cereal called Christ-o’s and quaint parochial schools named Saint Satanico’s School For Girls. The actions taken in this flick may very well insult or outrage a few viewers here and there, but the bottom line is if you didn’t think this was a cool, unique flick, you really need to lighten up. Blackthorne’s message was fluently told through a cool sleek vision.

The addition of excellent fight scenes choreographed at the hands of Jason Cavalier really helps sell this film through good old-fashioned ass whippings. All in all I really dug this flick and must say I will be checking this one out on a regular basis…
