Now these are the type of movies I want to see. STATE OF EMERGENCY is a sleeper tale about a time where the country is overrun by the undead due to an explosion at a nuclear power plant that releases a black mist that gets in the air contaminating everyone and attacks their nervous systems.

 

.Along the same lines as the great films STAKELAND, MONSTERS and PONTYPOOL, RITUAL relies on hard dramatic situations as the loner tries to co exist inside an old abandoned hospital with a couple of other people without showing a ton of zombies. You dont have to flood the damn screen with the undead for it to be a great movie. STATE OF EMERGENCY shows very well that all you need is a great story told by brilliant actors.

 

The bleak smoky environment lay down the canvass for a meistro to paint his picture of a post apocalyptic time. The cinematography of STATE OF EMERGENCY is just sheer beauty. There was definately a ton of heart dumped into this one folks. Someone did their research and it shines brightly.I have seen this one on numerous occasions and will continue to do so . When you find a sleeper like this you hold onto it. This one is going on my favorites shelf.
