WATCH ME

Offered as an Australian take on THE RING  with some hints of 8 mm WATCH ME plays out when a class of folm students have been given the assignment of picking something in the film world and write a thesis over it.  Tess confronts the local video nasty collector they call "freakboy", he hooks them up with a few titles to study.  As they take on the world of obsscurity and depravity Tess receives an internet file titled "watch me".  Sent as email spam those who view the film end up dead , at the hands of a chalky white chick with fire engine red hair.

As stated WATCH ME plays out just like THE RING damn near to the "t". There seriously isn't a whole lot of a diffefrence other then the direction the plot goes, otherwise here's how it breaks down. 1. dead chick, 2. video kills those who viewed it. That's it nothing more

With just the right amount of creepiness and blood to appease WATCH ME does deliver. The acting was top notch and the direction set in place by Melanie Ansley was highly applaudable. Even though this film is in no way original it is done very well. I really enjoyed this film and feel vindicated that the time spent watching this was well spent. So many times we as the viewer have to endure shotty films made with handycams in some dudes backyard. Watch Me is not the case.
